The documentary “Place of Birth – Tbilisi” provides information about the landscape, architecture, development, recreation areas, and general internal dynamics of the city.
Tbilisi simultaneously combines the entire spectrum of the archaic, Soviet and modern periods, which eventually turns the city into a multi-layered, complex labyrinth.
On the one hand, people’s decisions determine the general image of Tbilisi, on the other, the city determines the quality of daily life of its citizens. A tightly interconnected chain – A connection in which neither side is independent.
The protagonist of the film is the capital city itself, seen as one living body consisting of many different traits and flows.
In the film, Tbilisi is not only a subject of distant observation but also an intriguing tool for the authors’ self-discovery. And when the questions are appropriately asked, the city often has the right answers.
